Visited for lunch and had a nice lunch menu. The food was good and close to authentic Mexican food.

Food was good. My plate didn't have what was described in the menu, but the food tasted good. Service was good, especially considering one guy had about 7 or 8 tables. The tacos were good too, but they didn't double up the tortillas so they fell apart pretty quickly. Overall it was a good experience.

It's a cute little Mexican joint.. very colorful and authentic.. And the food was amazing- one of the best Mexican I ever had.. The staff was a tad too busy - which is why you might feel a little short of the warmth of a hearty welcome.. but if that doesn't bother u, this is definitely the place to get some good food..loved it!

It all started Saturday night when my dad made the statement that La Perla Tapatia was the best Mexican place in Collierville. My mom, Sarah and I had not eaten there or we didn't remember it being anything special if we had.This time my dad was absolutely right!I had a margarita on the rocks. It was delicious. Not too sugary and not too heavy on the mix.For my meal, I had a Tapatia Fajita. It had all the meats you want, tons of them and they were all delicious. Steak, chicken, shrimp, and chorizo pilled high on a skillet.The only negative was the guac was a bit salty.After our meal, I am convinced that La Perla Tapatia is the best Mexican place in Collierville.

My friends and I planned a ladies night out to this establishment and not only was the service terrible, the owner decided to walk up to my friend after 1 marg and suggest we call drivers. This place is rude to women. The owner also turned off the lights in half of the restaurant even though it was only 8pm and they are open til 10. There was a table behind us celebrating a birthday and at one point the waiter asked for the people to contact the rest of their party that had not arrived to get there orders rather than waiting on the full party to arrive. had to ask for a water 5+ times and eventually had to get up and find someone to grab me a water. Absolutely unacceptable and we will never be back. I have never been treated so disrespectfully in a place I am trying to spend my money and enjoy a night out with my friends.

I go here frequently it is some of the best authentic Mexican food in Collierville, the employees are very kind and welcoming. I recommend the tacos de adobada if it's your first time going

My go-to Mexican place. Always fast and friendly, and it's clean. Oh, and the food is fantastic.

I use to love this place but last few times IV been the waitresses have been rude .. On phones . not listen . and then like in Spanish after being bad service talk about not getting tipped.. Yes I understood u . and I wasn't happy . u want tips . ?? Act like it . show respect and do your job .

Food is good, margaritas are a little on the sweet side (but still delicious). Be aware they close earlier than you might think.

The tasted very good and wasn't just your typical Mexican food. I really enjoyed the Chipotle shrimp.

I ordered nachos with everything separated so that my chips wouldn't get soggy as I was going to eat when I got back to work only to open up my food and they had melted the cheese on my chips so guess what they were soggy and my meat was covered in grease!!! I will not be returning here. This is the second time I've had bad service here.

Arrived at the restaurant about 7:40 pm on a Tuesday evening. Tried to order a monster margarita (46 oz.). Our server questioned my order and asked if I meant a jumbo rather than a monster. I told him I wanted a monster and had gotten it before with no questions/problems. He said they were closing at 8pm. He had the manager, who was also maybe the owner, come to our table. He said they were closing at 8pm to clean the kitchen. (However, they were still seating customers at 8:15 pm and later.) Cleaning the kitchen has nothing to do with the bar area incidentally. I told him their website said they closed at 10pm and that I wanted the monster. He had the server bring me a jumbo instead. When I questioned him about it he said he wasn’t going to argue with me about it. To make matters worse my wife’s food was cold. We sent it back and it again came out cold. Needless to say, we won’t be back and I don’t recommend this place at all.

Lovely place with authentic Mexican food which came out hot. Had the grilled fish tacos which were delicious and the rice was tasty! Good food & drinks at great prices.

Stumbled upon La Perla while out East and my daughter and I loved our meal. I recommend La Tapatia Pechuga. Service was good and our experience was nice. I'll go back!

Our order came out completely wrong and one of the dishes was completely cold. The waitress was unapologetic. Disappointing, because the food we did recieve actually had better seasoning than most Mexican restaurants in the area, but the experience was so bad that we won't be going back there again.

Well I have been here many times before and never had service like we did last night. sat down got greeted quickly got cheese dip and drinks quickly and placed our order. And here is where it all went to hell. we waited over 30 mins for our food. Never got refills or even asked if we wanted refills. husband had a margarita and he had to get another waiters attention to get some water. Hubs spoke to the manager and he made it right but damn. time to get another job honey

Had the chicken soup which had lots of chicken. Food was good but soup wasn't hot. Service was good but a bit slow on getting food out but the place was busy.

They have the best CHIPS! I ordered P5, the cheesy chicken over rice. Everything was really good. Service was great.

Last night, ordered a rice dish that was covered in cheese. Told the waiter, we did NOT want the cheese and to add veggies. Waiter did NOT specified that extra veggies will be an extra charge. The first dish that was brought out, was covered in cheese. When the dish was returned a 2nd time, there was less then the original and minimal amount of veggies. Then was charged for $3.75 for the extra veggies. Menu did not specify the extra charge for extra veggies. Only visible extra charge was for dipping sauce which we did NOT order at all.Also during checkout, there was another fight between a customer and restaurant employee. Overall experience was inadequate. Will not go back or recommend.

I've been there several times and this was the first terrible visit I've had there. My food was slightly burned and after the waiter delivered the food that was the end of his service. No checks to see if we needed anything. There is some great competition in town and if this is an indication of what to expect, they are in trouble.

Pretty good place to go. It's just generic everyday Mexican food, but not bad. We were hoping for something a little more authentic but don't know the area and to pick this place. Good food, great service, great atmosphere.
